It’s in this same spirit of grit, fearlessness and desire to help others that Badger PR was born. Badgers get a bad rap when often they are simply misunderstood. Your company does not have to suffer this same fate. We’ll develop thoughtful campaigns and messaging to position your brand or business in the best light possible.
Badger PR was formed in 2018 by Candace Hamana. Candace has over a decade of combined experience in program and business development, media relations, tribal relations, crisis communications and political affairs. Prior to venturing out on her own, she worked in the utility industry, specializing in water as a tribal analyst. Her personal and professional development in this role crystallized her decision to start her own business.
Candace is both Navajo and Hopi, but an enrolled member of the Hopi Tribe. She is (Honanngyam [Badger] Clan) from the Upper Moencopi Village located in northern Arizona. She holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of South Carolina. Like all badgers, Candace is very social and enjoys traveling, reading, and golfing. She is also a proud military mom to her son Anthony.
